XP Raises over £400 for Macmillan!

The  XP team are delighted to announce that our Macmillan coffee morning last Friday was a huge success, raising over £400 in support of the 2.5 million people in the UK living with cancer.

Josie (the cutest CFO in the world) was cheif baker and assisted all the team in creating their sweet treats before the day. She has a real flair for all things baking, but it was apparent that her true talent was in the ‘cleaning’ (licking) of the baking equipment once we were done… which we think she enjoyed most of all.

Storring Village Hall was our venue during the weekly Friday market, where local companies come together each week to sell their produce. They very kindly let us have use of all their kitchen facilities for the morning and were exceptional hosts – special thanks to Cherly and Diane.

Angelina, our COO and Founder commented on the morning:

“We did so much better than we thought we would. It felt great to be helping and at a few points we were so busy we ran out of tables, chairs and cups which is brilliant! I’m also really impressed with how generously the people of Storrington donated. We’ll certainly be doing something similar in the future.”

Alongside the cakes, we also ran a raffle draw on the day which brought in a good portion of the total raised. Our total takings for the morning came to £216 (in just an hour and 15 minutes!) and XP have pledged to match the amount raised making our grand total £432!

With TheStadiumBusiness Design & Development Summit just 4 weeks away, it was also a good team bonding exercise for us, as it helped remind us how well we work together on site during our events.

Well done to the XP team for their hard work baking, running the morning and helping ‘dispose’ of all the leftover treats.
